| Project News from Express Global Logistics We are proud to highlight the remarkable achievement of our Conventus Project Network member Express Global Logistics, who has successfully executed the world’s largest single shipment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) — setting a new benchmark in renewable energy logistics. The landmark project involved the transportation of 300 BESS units, representing approximately 1.66 GWh of energy storage capacity, with a total cargo weight of 13,454 MT and a volume of 12,832 CBM. The shipment was transported on a full charter deck carrier vessel from the eastern coast of China to the western coast of India, supporting one of the world’s largest hybrid clean energy projects. By deploying a dedicated Deck Carrier Vessel, EXG enabled the complete shipment to move in a single voyage — significantly reducing handling interfaces, optimizing project timelines, and improving operational efficiency compared to conventional shipping methods. The successful execution required extensive engineering expertise, including marine calculations, stability assessments, deck strength analysis, customized lashing solutions, sea-fastening design, port coordination, customs clearance, and specialized inland transportation using hydraulic trailer equipment. This achievement demonstrates EXG’s ability to deliver complex renewable energy projects through a combination of engineering excellence, specialized logistics capabilities, and end-to-end project execution.
